|This solid brass compass was originally used in the British Army in WW1 and WW2. It was standard issue & very compact in size. The compass card is luminous so readings can be easily spotted at night. The glass bezel on these compasses have lines at 45-degree angles. The bezel rotate for different adjustments. A sighting arm folds out & readings are taken with a magnifier. The compass automatically locks when the sighting arm is folded down. This clever mechanism protects the dial & magnetism during transportation. A small knob on the side freezes the compass card for accurate reading. It is 5.5 cm in diameter & 2.3 cm thick & come with their wooden case. These compasses are ideal for trekking and walking because of their size and weight.
