|This is the finest example of a GPO #150 original antique candlestick with its original wooden wall bell set. The phone has been fully stripped down, restored, and rebuilt to the highest possible standard. The collar and ear piece have polished brass to give it a fantastic look. The dial works perfectly and we have fitted excellent quality hand platted cords for prefect sound quality.
The phone is connected to its original wooden GPO #1 bell box, so when it's connected the brass bells ring. There is a picture of the internals of the bell box with its original paper circuit diagram. The marks behind the bell box are GPO - PX30 NO 1
Below there is some more numbers ( 41 FHR 54/1 ) and the white GPO crest.
There is a No. 2 /150 mark on the brass collar on one side and a E-26 /235 mark on the other side.
This is a wonderful original antique British General Post Office (GPO ) telephone and an absolute collectors piece.
